Chandighar Police ASI Recruitment criteria for selection, examination, and syllabus for the mentioned posts are as follows:
Selection Process: All candidates, including ex-servicemen, will undergo a Single Examination consisting of two tiers: Tier I – OMR Sheet Based Test (50 Marks) and Tier II Written Test (50 Marks).
OMR Sheet-Based Test (Tier I):
- Duration: Two hours
- Number of Questions: 50 Multiple choice objective type questions
- Subjects: General Knowledge/Current Affairs, I.T. Knowledge, IQ, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Ethics
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer carries one mark, and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

Chandighar Police ASI Recruitment Minimum Qualifying Cut-off Marks: The minimum qualifying cut-off marks for the Tier-I paper shall be 33% for all categories.
Eligibility for Tier-II Test: Only candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks in the Tier-I Test will be eligible for the evaluation of their Tier-II Test. However, the Director General of Police reserves the right to change the minimum qualifying cut-off marks if an insufficient number of candidates qualify the Tier-I paper in any or all categories, with reasons recorded in writing.
