SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to eligible Indian Citizens.
  • Application for vacancies in one State/UT only.

Language Proficiency:

  • Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the specified local language of the State/UT they are applying for.
  • The knowledge test for the specified local language is conducted after the online Main examination.

Language Test Exemption:

  • Candidates with evidence of studying the specified local language in the 10th or 12th standard (mark sheet/certificate) are exempt from the language test.

Essential Academic Qualifications:

  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification acknowledged by the Central Government.

Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) Certificate:

  • Candidates with an integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2023

Provisional Application for Final Year/Semester Students:

  • Candidates in the final year/semester of their graduation can apply provisionally.

SBI Clerk Pay Scale 2023

The pay scale for this SBI Clerk position is structured as follows:

  • The starting Basic Pay is Rs. 19,900/-. This includes the initial pay of Rs. 17,900/- and two additional advance increments granted to graduates.

The pay progression is as follows:

  • Rs. 17,900/- for the initial period.
  • Gradual increments of Rs. 1,000/- for the first three years, reaching a Basic Pay of Rs. 20,900/-.
  • Further increments of Rs. 1,230/- for the next three years, leading to a Basic Pay of Rs. 24,590/-.
  • Subsequent increments of Rs. 1,490/- over the next four years, resulting in a Basic Pay of Rs. 30,550/-.

  • SBI Clerk Online test (Preliminary & Main exam) and a test of specified opted local language.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination:

  • SBI Clerk Online Preliminary Exam with Objective Tests for 100 marks.
  • Duration: 1 hour.
  • Three sections:
    • English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks, 20 minutes.
    • Numerical Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes.
    • Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks, 20 minutes.
  • Each test has a separate timing.
  • Total marks: 100, Total duration: 1 hour.

Negative Marking:

  • 1/4th of the mark assigned for a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Shortlisting for Main Exam:

  • Adequate candidates in each category (approximately 10 times the number of vacancies, subject to availability) will be shortlisted based on the aggregate marks scored in the SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination.

SBI Clerk Admit Card 2023

Preliminary Examination:

  • Candidates can download their SBI Clerk call letter and an “acquaint yourself booklet” from the Bank’s website tentatively starting from 27.12.2023.
  • To download, candidates need to enter their registration number and password/date of birth.

Main Examination:

  • Qualified candidates for the main examination can download their SBI Clerk call letter from the Bank’s website tentatively starting from 15.02.2024.
  • Download instructions will be available on the screen.

During Main Exam:

  • Candidates must bring a duly authenticated SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam call letter (with an authenticated copy of ID proof) along with the Main Exam call letter.
  • These documents, along with other requisite documents, need to be submitted during the JA Clerk Main Exam

Additional Photographs:

  • Candidates need to bring two additional photographs (identical to those pasted on the call letter) along with the call letter and other requisite documents.
  • Candidates reporting without a photograph pasted on the call letter or without the required additional photographs will not be allowed to appear for the SBI Clerk exam.
